Clean Cat Urine Like A Professional

Cat urine is the most difficult of the household pet urines to remove. Cat urine is definitely the most pungent of the household pet urine to deal it. Cat urine should always be approached with the very best product available.

Cat urine is best handled by a water based professional quality cleaning product and is much too difficult a task for cleaning powders.

Cats are climbers which means that you can potentially find cat urine in some very unusual places. Cats have been known to urinate on expensive electronics to show their displeasure with their environment. We strongly discourage against trying to remove cat urine from electronic components due to the obvious risk of electrocution or other serious personal injury.

Cat urine is already a very challenging urine removal project don’t make it worse by complicating your cat urine cleaning project by mixing different cleaning products and home remedies.

You will need the following cleaning supplies, a clean plastic pail, plastic gloves, clean white absorbent cotton towels. White cotton towels are recommended as it makes the cat urine easier to see. We recommend that you purchase new white cotton towels at your local discount store if you are a cat owner and dedicate them to handling cleaning emergencies.

Ensure that you are ready by thoroughly rinsing your cotton towels before you have the need to use them. This is accomplished by a complete rinsing in your washer without the use of laundry detergents, bleaches, water softeners, fabric softeners or any other type of cleaning aid. A complete second rinse is strongly recommended.

Do not use any type of dryer sheets or any other type of drying aid in your dryer. This ensures that any other type of chemical residue is not inadvertently redeposited on your carpeting or upholstery when you use those towels to absorb cat urine.

When you discover a fresh cat urine accident use the clean white terrycloth towels by pressing firmly against the cat urine until the towels become saturated. Place the cat urine saturated cotton towels into the plastic pail. Repeat this process with a clean towel until most of the cat urine has been removed.

Apply a dedicated cat urine removal product to the and wait five minutes. Test with your black light to ensure the urine removal product has been effective. Repeat as necessary.

Battling cat urine is the correct term. Cats typically urinate to show their displeasure with their environment. It could be something as innocent as a new boyfriend or a new baby that sets them off. Be prepared for their emotional outbursts by having all of the cleaning supplies that you need ready to go.

Avoid the use and experimentation with vinegar and baking soda. Most people find that vinegar and baking soda not only do not work they make the cat urine much harder to remove. Oil based cleaning products should also be avoided when dealing with cat urine.

Review the urine removal and the cleaning agents pages before beginning your cat urine project. Consider purchasing a professional quality water based cat urine cleaning product. The additional expense will be more than offset by superior cleaning abilities and a significant reduction in your overall stress.
