      Cleaning Strategy

Develop a cleaning strategy, don't just start attacking the problem area with everything under the kitchen sink. This will only complicate your cleaning and could potentially cost you quite a bit more in the long run.

Staying calm when your cat or dog has urinated all over your expensive brand new leather sofa is the prudent thing to do. It is very easy to make a big cleaning mistake with catastrophic consequences when we are angry and excited.

How likely is this to occur? Actually cats and dogs are much more likely to urinated all over anything that they perceive is invading their territory.

Don't do anything that will aggravate the situation. With cat urine you have some time so don’t charge in there taking ill advised protective steps unless you thoroughly understand the consequences.

There are specialized professional quality urine removal products available that have successfully removed cat urine that was over twelve months old. The only caveat is there can be absolutely no other cleaner or protective coating on the leather furniture for the product to be one hundred percent effective.

The best approach is to have a competent cleaning product on hand to resolve those annoying little cleaning issues that always have a way of surprising us.
