     Leather Cleaning

If your pet has urinated on your leather furniture you should review this page before attempting the cleaning yourself or turning the job over to a professional.

The majority of leather cleaning products are actually leather conditioners and are manufactured from mink or a similar oil.

Read the ingredients. If your leather conditioner contains beeswax then it is actually a waterproofing agent and you are in for big trouble if you are trying to remove cat urine.

The leather cleaning process must be accomplished in the correct sequence otherwise you risk sealing in the urine under layers of wax and oil.

The urine should be cleaned first with a water based urine removal product.

After the urine issue has been completely resolved you may apply a quality leather conditioner.

Don't make your situation worse, review the Dry Cleaners page before beginning your urine removal project.
