     Waterproofing Agents

Waterproofing agents should be avoided on any type of leather furniture where the potential exists for your cats and dogs to urine on them.

If you own cats or dogs and purchase leather furniture you will encounter significant difficulty if you waterproof the leather as the cats and dogs will eventually get around to urinating on them.

Waterproofing agents are made of a variety of oils and beeswax. Waterproofing agents will create a barrier that will make cat urine and dog urine especially difficult to remove.

Waterproofing leather furniture then trying to remove urine is analogous to taking a shower with your raincoat on and makes absolutely no sense.

Visit the cleaning agents page to learn what other cleaning products you should avoid.
